Specialist VC is a €50m-sized venture capital company that invests in early-phase tech companies in the Baltics, Finland and Ukraine. With a total team of 7 people, the fund’s founders are among Estonia’s most experienced venture investors. Our combined portfolio includes many startup successes 🚀like Bolt, Veriff, Monese, Starship, Comodule, NFTPort, and 40 other companies.

We are looking for a Junior Associate, who is expected to help us with the following:

Scouting and analyzing early stage tech companies in the region 🧐
Analyzing the results of existing portfolio companies 🎯
Collecting and providing information for reporting
Generating content for our social media channels
Other ad hoc responsibilities ⛑

We expect you to be active and forward-thinking ⚡, independent and self-starter 💥, and have keen interest in new technologies and startups 👀. As for technical skills, simple excel / spreadsheets modeling for analyzing industry data is enough (it’s not about the size of a model but rather its efficiency 😉). You will be working closely with our investment team, attending meetings with portfolio companies and industry events, interacting with founders of tech companies etc. It’s up to you to decide which verticals you want to dig deeper into 🤓. In our daily operations, we aim to follow a rather lean approach and keep bureaucracy at its reasonable lowest, which requires a rather strong sense of ownership. You are expected to be fluent in English.

The position can be either part-time or full-time. As for physical location, we have a cozy office in Tallinn at Tatari 64, but we can be flexible with remote work.
